Heath and Hound: A Sanctuary for the Exquisite and the Frankly Ridiculous

Come for the 18th century snuff boxes, stay for the pug based measurement system.

Welcome to Hearth and Hound, a Surrey-based sanctuary for the exquisite, the interiors obsessed, and the frankly ridiculous.

Every single piece you see here has been curated with a level of possessive intensity that borders on the clinical. These aren’t just “items”; they are members of the family we have hand picked because they have *soul* (and because they look fantastic next to a bottle of Malbec). Quite frankly, parting with any of them is going to be an emotional wrench, so please, treat them with the respect they deserve.

The Team (And the Logistics)

The Muscle & The Eye

We don’t just sell the stuff; we move it. We run a dedicated Fine art and antique courier company.which means your new prize won’t be chucked into the back of a transit van by a man named Dave who hates his life. We handle the delivery ourselves, with the kind of tenderness usually reserved for newborn infants. Do please therefore request a quote for delivery so we can get your treasures home safely.

 The Small Stuff

Anything petite: jewellery, trinkets, the odd silver spoon will be whisked to you via Royal Mail Special Delivery, fully insured, because we have enough anxiety as it is.

The Accountant

If you spot a small, velvety creature in the photos, that’s Lionel He’s a one-eyed pug, our head of finance, and our official “Scale Model.” If an ottoman is “three Lionels wide,” you know exactly what you’re dealing with.

Let’s Have a Natter

If you’re the type who needs to know the exact provenance of a 18th century snuff box or if you just want to check if a sideboard can survive a toddler, do please ask for a condition report. The photos will try and cover as much as possible but if we tried to incorporate everything this website would start to resemble the prop cupboard of a Victorian fever dream.

Better yet, just ask us anything. We love to chat. We’re antiques people; we have stories, we have opinions, and we have a very high tolerance for eccentricity.Dive in. Try not to buy everything at once my heart can only take so much.
