Explore clear, concise answers to common queries about our antiques services, helping you find details quickly and easily.
Can I request more photos or information about an item?
Absolutely, please do. We’ve photographed these pieces with the intensity of a forensic team, but if you need to see a specific corner of a credenza at 4:00pm lighting, just ask. We’re practically vibrating with the need to talk about them.
What payment methods do you accept?
We take all the usual suspects: major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal. Essentially, any digital iteration of “yes, please.”
Can I reserve an item before purchasing?
It’s a first-come, first-served situation out there. It’s brutal, I know. But if your heart is actually breaking over a side table, give us a shout and we might be able to hold the world at bay for a very short while.
Do you ship internationally?
We do. Most of our treasures are happy to go on a grand tour, provided you’re happy to handle the logistics of distance. Shipping costs and delivery times are as intricate as the items themselves, so let’s chat.
How are fragile antiques packaged?
With the kind of manic, obsessive layering usually reserved for a Victorian burial. We use enough protective material to survive a minor apocalypse. We want them arriving at your door in their “best self” state.
Can I collect my item?
Please! We’re in Surrey. Come and peel your new prize away from us in person. It’ll save us the emotional fallout of a formal goodbye.
How long will delivery take?
Time is a construct, but logistics are real. For our hand delivered pieces, we aim for the two-week mark. If you live in the middle of nowhere, we might have to recruit a third party (not Dave). Small, postable gems will be whisked off within 1–3 days.
Do you accept returns?
If we’ve genuinely missed a flaw (unlikely, given our clinical scrutiny) there’s no charge. But if you’ve simply had a change of heart, a return courier fee applies. You have 14 days. We ask that you sign for them upon arrival, confirming you’re as obsessed as we are.
What if my item arrives damaged?
If we haven’t unwrapped it together and it shows up looking worse for wear, tell us immediately. Within 72 hours, please. Send photos of the wreckage and the packaging so I can process the trauma (and your refund).
Do you buy antiques from individuals?
My heart says no (the clutter!), but my soul says yes. If you have something beautiful that’s looking for a new sanctuary, send us the details and some photos. Let’s see if it fits the vibe.
